Our Story
Sam’s baking journey began in his mum’s backyard, crafting bread for friends and neighbors. After honing his skills at renowned bakeries like Lune, Sydney’s Bourke Street Bakery, and Brunswick East’s Wild Life Bakery, Sam opened Bobby’s Bakery in late 2024. His passion for quality and tradition shines through in every loaf and pastry.
Signature Offerings
At Bobby’s Bakery, we specialize in authentic Cornish pasties, made with Sam’s mum’s recipe and adhering to the UK Cornish Pasty Association’s standards. Our traditional pasty, filled with at least 12.5% beef, potatoes, swede, and onions, is a customer favorite, reminiscent of Cornwall’s finest. We also offer a variety of fillings, all wrapped in flaky, lard-based pastry rendered on-site.
Our menu extends to an array of freshly baked breads, including rustic loaves displayed on wire racks, and a delightful selection of viennoiserie. Indulge in our popular almond croissants, rotating Danishes, cinnamon stars (crafted from croissant offcuts), cookies, and pizza slices. Each treat reflects Sam’s expertise in French, Italian, and English baking traditions.
Coffee & Ambiance
Pair your pastry with a cup from our simple drink menu, featuring espresso-based coffee using Allpress Espresso beans or batch brew filter coffee made with Fieldwork Coffee. While primarily a take-away spot, a cozy bench by the pastry display offers a spot to savor your treat on-site, with views of our bustling baking station and ovens.
