Nudo means ‘naked’ in Italian and it’s an events company that's all about bringing life to beautiful, bare spaces.

The company also owns seven fabulous venues, including the industrial chic of Two Ton Max in North Melbourne and the rustic charm of Gather & Tailor in West Melbourne.

They’ve even spread their magic to four separate creative service companies.

Nudo CEO Will Campbell explains: “As an event management and production company, we’re a one-stop shop for catering, floral design, styling, photography and videography. Whatever you need for your event, we’ve got it covered.”

Will and his co-founders, Paul Carr and Kim Brindell, started Nudo in 2019, each bringing their unique skills to the table.

“I used to be a wedding photographer, Kim was a florist, and Paul was building wedding planning technology. Together, we noticed a gap in the wedding events industry – a need for a seamless, stress-free events planning experience.

“We understood that wedding planning was one of the most stressful life events that people go through. You find your venue, you have to find all these individual suppliers and you have to do all of this on your own. Typically people have never done it before, either.
“So we took that problem - that nobody was looking holistically at the customer journey from engagement to marriage - and created a solution to ensure that people actually enjoyed the process of getting married!”

But what do you do when your events company is forced to shut down for two years?

When the pandemic hit in 2020, it was a curveball for Will and the team at Nudo.

“But we saw it as an opportunity to grow, to dream bigger. We thought that when this thing was over, the one thing that people are going to want to do is connect, get together and celebrate.
“So we expanded from one to four venues amidst the chaos. It was a risky move, but it worked.”

While Nudo's reputation was built on creating beautiful weddings, they are experts at producing celebrations of all kinds, be it corporate events or product launches.
