With more than $25.000 pre-loaded Gift Cards already in circulation, it’s been a promising start for the Precinct Gift Card, an initiative launched by North & West Melbourne Precinct Association (NWMPA) to direct dollars back into the local economy.

After more than two years of uncertainty, the green shoots of economic recovery are finally starting to poke through in North and West Melbourne. It’s thrilling to see the Precinct springing back to life after so much disruption. NWMPA’s mission is to support, connect and showcase local businesses.

A first for the precinct, the pre-loaded Gift Cards ensure money is funnelled directly into the pockets of local traders, rather than being spent elsewhere. It’s all about bringing attention to the array of goods and services available right here and encouraging residents and traders to support each other with their patronage, wherever possible.

Does your business accept our Precinct Gift Cards?

Our team has been visiting member businesses and activating their EFTPOS machine, so they will be able to accept our NWMPA Precinct Gift Cards. (Unfortunately Square payment system will not accept Australian gift cards at this stage).

There is no charge to activate the cards, all is needed is for a member of our team to activate a key card through your EFTPOS terminal and v-o-i-l-à!
