Sessions at Arden, located inside Arden Gardens Shopping Centre, is an out-of-the-ordinary bottle shop that beckons you into a world where passion meets craft.

Truman Ng’s journey to co-owning Sessions at Arden with his friends Paul Leung and Wailen Chen, began with the challenges of a pandemic-stricken world.

“I owned a restaurant in Windsor but because of COVID, the business wasn’t great. So I started helping out my uncle, who owned a Celebrations bottle shop on Punt Road,” explains Truman.

As the world outside hunkered down in isolation, Truman discovered his true calling amongst the shelves lined with bottles from around the world.

"I found out that I really liked exploring different types of alcohol, experimenting with different flavour combinations, and making connections with people through talking about alcohol," Truman smiles. “Then I met Paul and Wailen at Celebrations and they felt the same way. So when the opportunity came up for us to open Sessions at Arden we took the chance.”

At Sessions at Arden, the team’s mission is clear: to explore difference and to extend boundaries.

“We want to introduce our customers to a world beyond the mainstream or big brands. That’s why we’ve carefully curated our range with rare and unusual products, and drinks from small boutique family businesses,” states Truman. “Every bottle has a story to tell.”

With over 6,000 products in stock, including a staggering eighty varieties of sake, it's a place where aficionados and newcomers alike can revel in the exquisite world of fine drinks.

Truman, with his extensive hospitality background, also offers a unique curation service for restaurant and bar owners to help them craft the perfect wine or cocktail list.

The next incarnation of Sessions at Arden is for it to become more than just a bottle shop. With a general liquor licence on the horizon, they plan to host private tastings and wine education classes, inviting the community to deepen their appreciation for fine drinks. And the bar will be the place where the magic of Sessions at Arden can be experienced to the fullest.
