Since 1853, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic has been creating harmony and supporting Melbourne’s artists through the presentation of classical works in and around the City of Melbourne.
Ted May grew up in Sydney and has lived in Melbourne for the best part of five decades. He began his exhibiting career with Gallery A in Sydney in 1964 after graduating from the National Art School. He has had in excess of 40 solo exhibitions and has been a finalist in numerous art awards including the Lester, Waterhouse, Doug Moran, Wynne, Dobell and Sulman Prizes.
Shuklia is a dynamic artist known for her 1-minute portraits that effectively capture the essence of her subjects. She has showcased her talent at various local festivals and events, including National Volunteer Week at Melbourne Town Hall and International Student Week at Federation Square in 2024, as well as the Global Entrepreneurship Congress Welcome Reception in 2023. Her vibrant presence has also been felt at the Night Noodle Market in 2022 and the Make a Fuss exhibition launch in 2021, where she documented her artistic process. Shuklia actively shares her work on social media.

Blender Studios is a renowned art complex with art studios at its core.
Founded in 2001, the studios have evolved alongside the urban art movement in Melbourne and currently hosts 24+ resident artists. Blender Studios is not only a hub for both street artists and fine artists, but it is also the HQ of Melbourne Street Tours, Dark Horse Experiment, The Blender Loft, and Blender Creatives.
You can visit the studios on a tour, workshop, or at one of their special events.
Arts House is Melbourne’s home for contemporary performance, with a year-round program of dance, theatre, music, installations and community projects.
Tickets range from $10 - $35, alongside free events.
Creative Spaces is a program of the City of Melbourne’s Creative City branch which provides space for artists and creative practitioners to develop, practice, present and exhibit their work. Our work responds to the City of Melbourne Council Plan 2021-25 goals of building the Economy of the Future and celebrating Melbourne’s Unique Identity and Place. Creative Spaces temporarily manages the programming of Shop 54 on Errol Street, North Melbourne, which will see a variety of artists activate the space over the course of the coming year.
