Next Chapter is a North Melbourne real estate agency redefining sustainable living in Melbourne.

Tom Hirini and Imani Fawahl, partners in business and in life, have carved out a unique niche in the real estate world in a relatively short time.

Next Chapter isn't your typical real estate agency because of Tom and Imani’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. They focus only on selling new properties off-the-plan - specifically new developments of apartments and townhouses designed with sustainability and owner-occupier comfort in mind.

“As an example, we’ve got a project around the corner from our office at the moment, on Lothian Street,” smiles Tom. “It’s Florenze Terrace, a collection of townhouses, and it’s going really well.”

Tom's journey into real estate was somewhat serendipitous. He fell into the industry while studying property valuation at RMIT when he got a job at Hocking Stuart.

Little did he know that this job would ignite a passion that would later lead to Next Chapter.

On his thirtieth birthday, Tom decided it was time to take the plunge and establish his own venture. "I always aspired to work for myself," he recalls. "I like the ownership and agency it gives me over the way I operate." He brought Imani into the business to manage the sales and marketing side of the work.

Tom and Imani pride themselves on their transparent and client-centric approach. They choose to work with developers with whom they can build long-term relationships and steer towards sustainable practices.

"We don't want to just do one project with a client," Tom emphasises. "We want to do the next project, and the next. Our work is not like established real estate where you might sell fifty houses a year for fifty different owners. We’ll sell fifty properties for one owner.
“As well as selling properties we want to see how we can elevate and shape each client’s business at the same time. That’s why the relationships we build are really rewarding.”

Tom and Imani's vision for Next Chapter is a continuation of their passion for creating sustainable communities.

It’s more than just about being a success in the real estate industry. It's a testament to their passion and commitment for creating positive change in the world - one sustainable residence at a time.
