Welcome to The Courthouse. Sitting in the nucleus of inner North Melbourne, this beautiful pub and hotel has recently woken from its slumber and reopened its doors to the public.
Built in the 1850’s, The Courthouse stands proudly on the corner of Errol and Queensberry Streets, her beautiful deco brick facade blushing when the sun hits.
Step inside this old-world pub and you’ll be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff and a welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of places to sit, with each space honouring the original heritage features and intimate, flowing floorplan.
Enjoy a drink at our corner bar, with high top terrazzo speckled tables and a real ale pump offering hand pulled beers, complemented by a more than decent wine list.
Sink into a cosy booth or leather banquette in our casual dining area. Around the corner you’ll find more seating in our lowered dining room, with original timber panelling, hessian walls, ambient lighting and an open fireplace for when the temperature drops.
Head upstairs and you’ll find another 30-seat dining room, offering beautiful sunset views right from the city’s fringe. And if you’re looking for something more intimate, our private dining room can seat up to 10 people - perfect for long lunches and special occasions.
To top it off, you can book an overnight stay in one of our two boutique hotel suites. Both offer a comfortable queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, sitting room, spotted gum joinery and beautiful vintage furniture.
We serve delicious pub food with some of the classics you know - plus a few surprises you might not. Our menu moves with the seasons so that we’re always using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. With an extensive drinks list including wine, ale, beer and cocktails… there’s something to wet every whistle.
