We are Emily & Dave. Together we are ByDave. We are British born and have lived in the wonderful city of Melbourne for over a decade. Having prior careers in Interior Design across London and Melbourne our influences reach into British and Australian design across the Architecture, Interior Design & Furniture design disciplines. We co-founded ByDave from a desire to apply our design background to produce high quality, locally made furniture with a design-lead sensibility.
We believe in producing furniture that is enduring. We respect the natural materials we work with and aim to elevate them through considered design and heirloom making practices. We undertake this through our Processes, a respect to Low Volume manufacturing and through fabricating using Heirloom Practices. We live and design in North Melbourne and manufacture in our workshop in Footscray.
