the origins of terror.
Written and Performed by: David Fowles
On January 25th, 2020, comic actor and cat parent David Fowles was stabbed dozens of times in his bedroom, then called himself an ambulance. It's funnier than it sounds!
Hurtling between humour and the deadly serious, "Once More With Failing" is the true story of how violence affected David's life from childhood, and how the murders he failed to prevent may have lead to his own, while, maybe, providing the key to surviving it.
The show contains descriptions of, and references to, extreme violence, murder, sexual assault and suicide.
David has failed at acting, writing, stand-up comedy and singing for over thirty years, in Queensland and Victoria. Conceived as he lay in hospital for a month after failing to die, "Once More With Failing" will be his first full-length solo show.
