Refractions is a new collection of work by Jasmine Grace that utilises light and dichroic effects to investigate atmosphere and embodied experience. The exhibition invites participants to engage with light, colour and motion from multiple perspectives as they move throughout the space. Drawing participants to immerse themselves in the presence of light and contemplate the luminous essence of their own beings.
One of the feature immersive works within this collection, ‘Beaming’ - a series of prismatic cubes - has been supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grants.
Driven by her interests in atmosphere, stimulation of the senses, embodied experience and social engagement, Jasmine Grace’s artworks build shared experiences between people that evoke senses of wonder, joy and wellbeing.
