Sean McConnell is best known for his hard-hitting, swamp blues band White Lightning. Take a dram of Mississippi moonshine, a pint of Melbourne bitter and a dash of Old Bar carpet, mix it all up and you’ve got some bonafide Yarra-Delta Blues.
Jeff Lang is one of Australia’s most treasured purveyors of Mongrel Folk music. With a diverse catalogue of 30 albums under his belt, Jeff Lang’s music incorporates innovative instrumental manipulating, interwoven with poignant narratives. A trailblazer with a long line of musicians influenced by his work, Lang’s music seemed most fitting for a tribute. Sean will tackle a select few tunes from the vast catalogue, perhaps even successfully.
